Purple in the Working

Of all colors, I have the utter most fear towards purple. This morning, I found some bearded irises blooming and spontaneously wanted to shovel them into my vase. Hence this photo journal.

To be completely honest, sometimes I have a hard time categorizing blue vs. purple, especially when there is a lot of blue hue in the purple color. Such confusion happens in different lighting settings as well. In daylight or during golden hours, a color presents itself as a lilac or soft lavender. Then the misty morning light brings out all the blue.

Yellow is a nice contrast and complement. I wish I had more. They also wilted quite fast. All ingredients are seasonal from the garden.
